Cost efficiency

In metallurgy and elsewhere cost efficiency is continuously changing due to the price variations of raw materials,...

...energy, technology used and executed or potential investments, demands of the market and related changes in items and products, changes in state regulations in relation to carbon footprint, and many more.

A raw material and secondary material management as circular economy, optimal aggregate regimes (such as furnace consumptions of gas, water or electricity, refractory lifetime) introduced by consumptions per unit, process stability with all subsections of process optimizations and revision and optimisation of the product cost calculations are the common segments to increase the cost efficiency.

Sometimes cost efficiency is low due to lack of understanding of all influencing mechanisms regarding single or family of products so the steps to increase cost efficiency are adapted to the achieved degree of Digitalization, Industry 4.0, R&D demands and more of particular business. Cost efficiency is therefore comprehensive or individually addressed.
